What Makes Our Painting Procedure Unique
Before starting to apply the paint on the walls, some important steps are mostly ignored or avoided due to reasons like being unknown, wanting to save time, or not knowing how to do these steps. Cleaning the surface
First of all, we start our work by covering everything with a polythene sheet, and after that, we clean the surface that is being painted, whether it is a wall, ceiling, or any other surface. We do this so that we can clean the very common grime that sticks to the walls or roof. If we don’t do this and paint the surface where the grime is stuck, then the color of that part looks different from the whole painted surface, and unfortunately, we cannot do anything with that afterward. Moreover, we clean the surface so that we can remove dirt particles from the surface we want to paint.
Repairing the damaged parts
After the cleaning process we have to prepare the damaged parts of the wall or ceiling it means sometimes due to the water leakage some parts of the walls as well as ceilings also tear off and very bad and resistant stains look there which are very weird as they don’t go with ease only professionals can deal with them. So we rub those parts very well. After that, we apply waterproofing and a special chemical that shows resistance against moisture and removes these stains. Unfortunately, this process wastes a lot of time as it takes time to dry.
Filling the holes and cracks
Now this is the most tricky and important part among all of them because in this part we repair the cracks which mostly occur on joints of walls or some other parts of ceilings. To fill and repair these cracks and the holes that were made to hang frames on the walls, we use putty and gypsum powder along with compound( a putty-like material) and make the repaired parts as smooth as they would be. We have to do this until these areas become part of the whole surface.
Sanding process
While we are filling the holes and cracks, some extra putty material is pasted on the surface, which cannot be removed properly while we are doing the filling and repairing process. Because at that time it was wet, we had to wait until it dried. After drying completely, we use sanding paper and rub these parts carefully until the whole extra material is removed and becomes a powdered form of material which could be removed very easily.
Cleaning
After sanding, we need to remove all the powder from the surface, and after cleaning the wall, the surface becomes very smooth, and it looks like a canvas. It means now it is ready to start working on it. Now we are ready with our painting stuff so that we can start the work, which most companies do at the start. Now you can imagine the difference if we paint the wall after these steps and without these steps, just imagine…
Priming & Painting
Now, before we apply the selected paint which is chosen by the customer, we do a coat of primer, which is very, very important if you are going to change the color. In the same color painting, it doesn’t affect but for being on the safe side, we apply a single coat of primer so that the final result could be more fascinating. Finally in the end we apply at least 2 coats of selected paint and after getting dry the walls would be able to see.
